About
Chadds Ford, PA is known for a rich art background. It has a spot of significance on the map of art history. With gifted fine art talents, avid supporters of the arts and many well know folk artists, the community thrives on creativity. However, with all the galleries and museums, Chadds Ford still needed a place to bring the budding artists in the community out to create and learn from each other- to do more than just appreciate fine arts. Thus began Art Beat.
Art Beat founder, Samantha, fell in love with museums during a high school internship. A focus on art appreciation followed as she pursued degrees in Education and Art History as well as a Masters of Eduction. A carreer in both Museum Education and teaching followed including the Carnegie Museum, The Indianapolis Museum of Art and the Childrens Museum of Indianapolis.
This year we are in a new locations...local elementary schools for both school programs and summer camps. Staying close to the Brandywine River Museum Longwood and Chadds Ford Historical Society, we welcome you to roll up your sleeves and join in the creative process of making art.
With Samantha's guidence and staff of seasoned teachers, Art Beat strives to provide support for artists in the community, regardless of where they may be in their journey. Join us for creating, sharing and learning in the heART of Chadds Ford and have a great time doing it!.
